At Your Journey Therapy, we are dedicated to empowering individuals and families through a wide range of evidence-based therapy programs designed to support healing, resilience, and personal growth. We run numerous programs tailored to various needs, including school readiness, social skills classes, targeted programs for fussy eaters, emotional regulation, and fine motor skills/handwriting development.

In addition, we offer specialized programs for parents, covering helpful topics such as parenting styles, strategies for parenting children on the spectrum or with ADHD, and other techniques to support your child’s development and well-being.

 

We invite you to explore all the programs available on this page and enrol if you find one that suits your needs. If you are seeking a specific program that is not currently listed, please let us know. We are always open to ideas and may consider creating new programs to better serve the community and your individual requirements.

Upcoming in January 2026: School Readiness, Social Skills Groups and Small Group Programs

From 12 January to 23 January 2026, Clare will be running the School Readiness and Social Skills program alongside specialised classes (Foodie Friends, Emotion Navigator and Fingertip Fun Factory).

Foodie Friends 9am to 11am

Welcome to Foodie Friends! This program is designed to support children with picky eating by fostering positive relationships with food and creating enjoyable, relaxed food experiences. Here’s what you and your child can expect:

Fun and engaging activities: Your child will participate in playful activities that encourage exploration of different foods in a safe and supportive environment.

Positive food experiences: We focus on making mealtimes enjoyable and stress-free, helping children develop a more open attitude toward trying new foods.

Building confidence: Through gentle encouragement, children will learn to feel more comfortable around different textures, tastes, and food choices.

Supportive peer environment: Children will connect with other kids who are facing similar challenges, promoting social comfort and shared experiences.

Our goal is to create a fun, encouraging atmosphere where children can develop a healthy, joyful relationship with food. We look forward to supporting your child’s journey toward more enjoyable eating!

Welcome to the Emotion Navigator program! This supportive and engaging program is designed to help children develop better awareness of their emotions and learn strategies to self-regulate. Here’s what you and your child can expect:

Understanding Emotions: Your child will explore the different emotions they experience using the Zones of Regulation framework, helping them identify and understand their feelings better.

Interactive Activities: The program includes fun, age-appropriate activities and discussions that encourage children to recognize their emotional states and learn new ways to manage them.

Skill Building: Children will learn practical strategies to regulate their emotions, such as breathing techniques, mindfulness, and calming activities, tailored to their needs.

Safe and Supportive Environment: Your child will be in a caring, non-judgmental space where they can freely express themselves and practice new skills.

Our goal is to empower your child with the tools they need to understand and manage their emotions effectively, helping them feel more confident and resilient. We look forward to supporting your child’s emotional journey!

Fingertip Fun Factory 2:00pm to 4:00pm

Welcome to the Fingertip Fun Factory! This lively and engaging program is designed to help children strengthen their fine motor skills in a fun and supportive environment. Here’s what you and your child can expect:

Enjoyable Activities: Your child will participate in a variety of playful activities, including crafts, puzzles, and hand exercises, all aimed at improving fine motor control.

Skill Development: The program focuses on building skills such as hand-eye coordination, finger strength, dexterity, and precise movements, which are important for activities like writing, cutting, and dressing.

Creative Exploration: Your child will have opportunities for creative expression through arts and crafts that also promote fine motor development.

Encouragement and Confidence Building: The program aims to make learning new skills enjoyable, helping your child gain confidence in their abilities.

Our goal is to make fine motor skill development a fun adventure that supports your child’s success at school and in everyday activities. We’re excited to work with your child and look forward to seeing their progress!

School Readiness Program

Social Skills Program

Sessions will be conducted 9am to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays at Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium, 146-156 MacDonalds Road, Epping by our highly experienced Developmental Educator, Clare Smyth. With over 10 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher, specialising in children with additional needs, Clare is dedicated to tailoring the program to meet your child’s specific needs.

The program will focus on the following key areas:

  • School readiness, encompassing adapting to a structured setting, maintaining focus, following directions, and completing set tasks.
  • Building group and social skills.
  • Enhancing language and literacy skills.
  • Developing fine motor and gross motor skills.

 

PLEASE NOTE – this program is covered by your NDIS Plan

The program is open to children who are not clients at Your Journey Therapy, if you wish to enrol your child simply contact us on 9267 9048 or via email manager@yourjourneytherapy.com.au and we will go through the enrolment process.

We are excited to offer a dedicated social skills group designed to support children in developing essential social and communication skills in a fun and engaging environment. Led by our highly experienced Developmental Educator, Clare Smyth, this program provides a supportive space for children to learn and practice social interactions, build friendships, and improve their conversational abilities. Sessions will be held in conjunction with the school readiness program, at Meadowglen International Athletics Stadium 3pm to 5pm, providing a structured opportunity for children to grow socially and emotionally.

The program will focus on the following key areas:

  • Building group and social skills
  • Participating in group activities
  • Friendship-building activities
  • Enhancing conversational language and communicative skills
