Program 1 - school readiness program

We are excited to announce that Your Journey Therapy will be hosting our School Readiness Program from Monday 07.04.2025 to Friday 18.04.2025.

The program will be led by our highly experienced Developmental Educator, Clare Smyth. With over 10 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher specializing in children with additional needs, Clare is dedicated to tailoring the program to meet your child’s specific needs.

The program, spanning over 2 weeks, will focus on the following key areas:

  • School readiness, encompassing adapting to a structured setting, maintaining focus, following directions, and completing set tasks.
  • Building group and social skills.
  • Enhancing language and literacy skills.
  • Developing fine motor and gross motor skills.


Sessions will be conducted from Monday to Friday by our highly experienced Developmental Educator, Clare Smyth. With over 10 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher, specializing in children with additional needs, Clare is dedicated to tailoring the program to meet your child’s specific needs. Detailed reports will be provided at the conclusion of the program.

Session Timings:

9 am to 2 pm. Children are required to bring a backpack with a packed lunchbox. Parents have the option to enrol their child for the full 5 days or a minimum of 3 days. Additionally, arrangements can be made for participation in both weeks if desired.

The costs associated can be covered by your NDIS plan. If you are not an NDIS participant please let us know and we can provide you with a quote.

Program 2 - social skills program

We are excited to announce Your Journey Therapy’s Social Skills Program for children aged 5 to 16 years will be hosted from Monday 07.04.2025 to Friday 18.04.2025.

This engaging program focuses on:

  • Building group and social skills
  • Participating in group activities
  • Friendship-building activities
  • Enhancing conversational language and communicative skills

Sessions will be held by our highly experienced Developmental Educator, Clare Smyth. With over 10 years of experience as a kindergarten teacher specializing in children with additional needs, Clare is dedicated to tailoring the program to meet your child’s specific needs.

Children can participate in all 5 days per week, 3 days per week, or choose either week. We recommend a minimum of 3 days to ensure the child has ample opportunity to learn and practice the skills being taught.

Session Timings:

Children will be grouped by age to ensure appropriate peer interaction, with 1 to 2 staff members assigned per group, depending on enrolment numbers.
